Hovering

fig_2-37.gif

Some people would call it “to be in limbo” but she’d rather use the expression “to hover”: as if a few feet off the ground but yet not flying. Just hovering. To fly would mean going forward, hoping, reaching for new skies; to stay on the ground would mean to be stuck in the mud. Hovering, instead, was like not wanting to be in the mud and not being able to fly away. A weird feeling but an awkwardly peaceful one: this is who I am, this is where I’m at, still here, longing, not wanting~waiting to be released.

Sim, pairar. Pa(i)rar. Mais rico em PT, até. Mas estes posts fazem-(me) mais sentido em inglês e no feminino. Outra língua, outro género e a coisa… descola. Ou paira.

Feelings remain somehow immaterial until they’re uttered in the language in which one’s heart was stabbed. I think.
